View of Pebbles from the beach

At home at Pebbles

Pebbles is one of those welcoming houses that makes you feel as if you have "come home" as soon as you walk in.

A spacious five bedroomed family home arranged on three floors, Pebbles is furnished to make you as comfortable and relaxed as possible during your stay.

Pebbles could be described as a house of two parts. On the one side you are only a few steps away from the characterful and interesting main street of Budleigh with its shops and eating places, and on the other you enter a haven of tranquility where rooms and garden overlook Budleigh's famous pebble beach.

Make yourself at home as you "click" your way around
the rooms at Pebbles.

Whether it is the view or breakfast we don't know but this is some guests' favourite room in the house and we can see why!

The comfortable cane furniture and orange and lemon trees evoke images of a bygone age and offer a tranquil and relaxing environment at any time of year and whatever the weather!

Choose a book, have another coffee and relax!

Pebbles Garden

The pretty lawned garden at Pebbles is in a position to die for and provides a perfect frame for the view of the sea as you enjoy your breakfast.

The swing seat is just the place to relax with glass in hand after a busy day exploring.

Near enough to hear the waves lapping the beach but secluded enough to relax in privacy, protected enough to enjoy the sun but without the cooling of the prevailing westerly winds.

Step through the garden gate and you’re on the beach. Garden or beach - the choice is yours!

Fishing boat on Budleigh beach

The Beach
The Budleigh beach is famous for its mile long stretch of pebbles which have been eroded over thousands of years from the red sandstone cliffs which overlook the town.

Because of its nature, and unlike its neighbour, Exmouth, Budleigh beach remains uncrowded except on the very warmest of summer days and caters for those looking for less rather than more activity!

Seats abound for those just wanting to sit and watch the local fishermen or larger ships in the distance. Watering holes right by the beach mean you don't even need to take a thermos! For the adventurous types the beach affords safe bathing, and has a 2009 Quality Coast award.

Just the place to spend today and tomorrow and...

Sometimes it is fun watching paint dry!   Life's a beach!
