The Pebbles experience

Our guests all comment on the peace and calm they experience at Pebbles.
As one lady said,
"As soon as I walked in I just felt the stress melt away".

Whether this is due to the warm welcome from your friendly hosts, the amazing location with sea views to die for from all the bedrooms, the well appointed comfortable accommodation, tranquil environment or the great food, we're not really sure. But what we do know is that, according to our guests, they all add up to the perfect package for an unforgettable break any time of year.

Humfrey and  Rosemary Temple look forward to giving you a warm Pebbles welcome!

  While away the hours...

Make yourself at home   Even the gulls appreciate the view!
A scrumptious treat awaits!

Start relaxing the minute you step through the door

You will be looked after you from the time you walk through the door.

After you've parked your car in the spacious drive and have been settled into your room, you will be treated to tea or coffee and some of Rosemary's delicious home made cakes in the conservatory or garden. (That's if you can tear yourself away from the view from your room!).

Just make sure you don't eat too much before you arrive!

Your unwinding has begun!

Wherever you lay your hat...   We enjoy a giggle!

A tasty way to start the day

Breakfast by the beach

One favourite summer pastime is to cook breakfast on the beach.

The smell of sizzling bacon and freshly brewed coffee. Homemade bread with lashings of butter. All to the sound of the sea lapping the beach and seagulls crying overhead.

Now you can enjoy all this and more any day from the comfort of the Pebbles conservatory overlooking the garden just feet away from the beach.

"What shall I start with today?  Maybe cereal topped with homemade muesili.
Or what about homemade fresh yogurt?"

"Then, of course, there's the fresh fruit salad!"

"After that, shall I have a Full English cooked breakfast? The locally produced bacon, eggs and sausages certainly are delicious!"

"Perhaps I'll go for the scrambled egg with smoked salmon with homemade toast.  Then I'll just have to have more toast with some of Rosemary's
homemade marmalade!"

The only problem you'll have at breakfast is what to choose!

Your Hosts

Humfrey & Rosemary Temple

They may have only been B & B hosts since July 2009, but Humfrey and Rosemary are no strangers to offering hospitality. Married 45 years with four children and 12 grandchildren, their many different homes have always been filled with family, friends, and friends to be from church and elsewhere.
Humfrey and Rosemary both have a heart for looking after others and hope you feel this in different aspects of your stay at Pebbles.

Both have had something of chequered “careers” over the years. Humfrey has been involved in numerous activities including, grounds maintenance, wholesale paper merchanting, publishing and property refurbishment. Rosemary, besides being a devoted mother and grandmother and home maker extraordinaire, has had her own china hire and accounting software training businesses, been a conference centre manager and accountant for a City of London Livery Company!

Despite involvement with these diverse activities Humfrey and Rosemary’s hearts has always been in hospitality and had been looking for a B & B to run for some years before finding Pebbles. The hindrance to finding a property earlier was that the properties that had the position, facilities and accommodation required were all too expensive to buy. It was only when they changed tack and looked for somewhere to rent that they discovered Pebbles which seemed to tick all the boxes including financial!

Humfrey and Rosemary’s Christian faith is central to their lives and pray for God’s blessing on all those under Pebbles roof.

                    Enjoy your stay!
